Pekka Kuusisto returns to London’s Wigmore Hall

On 23 May Pekka Kuusisto performs a recital as part of BBC Radio 3’s Lunchtime Concert series at London’s Wigmore Hall, with cellist Nicolas Altstaedt.

The programme, which spans almost three centuries of music, includes a selection of Bach’s Inventions, Widmann’s Duos für Violine und Violoncelloand Ravel’s Sonata for Violin and Cello. The performance is broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.

Next month sees Kuusisto return to London for a trio recital, also at Wigmore Hall, with Tamara Stefanovich and Alec Frank-Gemmill. He will then make his BBC Proms debut on 5 August, performing Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto with BBC Scottish Symphony and Thomas Dausgaard.
