This week Stephen Hough embarks upon a recital tour across Australia with Musica Viva.

The tour begins with performances at Adelaide Town Hall on 14 April and at Sydney’s City Recital Hall on 16 and 18 April. Further recitals take place in Melbourne, Newcastle, Hobart, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth and Coffs Harbour.

Each recital programme features works by Schubert, Franck and Liszt, as well as Hough’s Piano Sonata III ​‘Trinitas’ which received its premiere at the Barbican in London in October 2015.

These concerts mark Stephen Hough’s return to Musica Viva’s recital line-up following his solo tours with them in 2007 and 2011.
