Stephen Hough performs Debussy and Chopin at the Royal Festival Hall
24/4/2015
Stephen Hough performs a recital of Debussy and Chopin at the Royal Festival Hall on 28 April as part of the International Piano Series. He repeats the programme on 30 April at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
The IPS recital marks Hough’s first engagement in London since he performed at Wigmore Hall in June last year and he will return to the Festival Hall in February 2016 to perform Dvořák’s Piano Concerto with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Osmo Vänskä.
Next month (5 May) sees the release of two new recordings for Hough on Hyperion Records — Grieg’s Lyric Pieces and Hough’s own composition for choir and orchestra, Missa Mirabilis, which is performed by the Colorado Symphony orchestra and chorus conducted by Andrew Litton.
