Elizabeth DeShong performs in Bordeaux
26/2/2016
After an acclaimed debut at the Aix-en-Provence Festival last summer in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Elizabeth Deshong returns to France as Arsace in Rossini’s epic Semiramide at l’Opéra National de Bordeaux. Conducted by Paolo Olmi, performances open on 9 March.
A highly-praised Rossinian, Elizabeth has sung several productions of Il barbiere di Siviglia, La Cenerentola and L’italiana in Algeri in recent seasons including for her Wiener Staatsoper and Glyndebourne Festival debuts. Later this season, DeShong sings Calbo in the seldom heard Maometto II at Canadian Opera Company before returning to Europe and the Glyndebourne Festival this summer as Hermia (A Midsummer Night’s Dream).
