Esther Yoo kicks off the New Year with her Iceland Symphony Orchestra debut on 21 January under Principal Guest Conductor Osmo Vänskä, performing Sibelius’ Violin Concerto at Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik.

The Sibelius concerto features alongside Glazunov’s Violin Concerto on Esther’s first album for Deutsche Grammophon recorded with the Philharmonia Orchestra under Vladimir Ashkenazy. The recording will be released internationally on 12 February.

Later in the season Esther will return to London’s Royal Festival Hall to perform the Sibelius concerto with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Vladimir Ashkenazy on 3 March. She will also appear with the orchestra in Cambridge and Watford on March 2 and 5 respectively.
