Violinist Esther Yoo joins HarrisonParrott artist roster
15/1/2014
HarrisonParrott is delighted to welcome violinist Esther Yoo to its artist roster for worldwide general management.
Esther first came to international attention when, aged 16, she became the youngest prize-winner of the 10th International Sibelius Competition in 2010. In 2012, she became one of the youngest ever prize-winners of the Queen Elisabeth Violin Competition.
Born in the United States to Korean parents, Esther has performed with many international orchestras, including the Philharmonia Orchestra (with whom she has undertaken a tour to China and Korea), the Finnish Radio Symphony and Seoul Philharmonic orchestras. Upcoming highlights include her London concerto debut under Lorin Maazel at the Royal Festival Hall on 23 March, when she performs Mozart’s Violin Concerto No.3, and a recording of the Sibelius and Glazunov concertos under Vladimir Ashkenazy – both with the Philharmonia Orchestra.
She also appears as soloist with the London Chamber Orchestra and Christopher Warren-Green at a special event at St James’s Palace in London in January.
