Stephen Milling makes a double debut at Bayreuther Festspiele

Danish bass Stephen Milling makes his role and company debut as Hagen in Götterdämmerung at the Bayreuther Festspiele this summer. Performances are on 1, 14 & 26 August and conducted by Kirill Petrenko.
Stephen is already established as one of today’s greatest Wagnerian basses having most recently performed Gurnemanz (Parsifal) at Osterfestspiele Salzburg under Thielemann, Fasolt (Das Rheingold) with Dutch National Opera under Haenchen and König Marke (Tristan und Isolde) at the Staatsoper Berlin under Barenboim amongst others.
Next season, Stephen continues to give performances at the highest international level, returning to the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden as Landgraf (Tannhäuser) under Haenchen, the Wiener Staatsoper as Rocco (Fidelio) under Schneider, and Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte) under Meister, and the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden for Tristan und Isoldeunder Rattle.
