Stephen Milling sings with the Wiener Symphoniker

Denmark’s finest bass Stephen Milling joins the Wiener Symphonikerand Manfred Honeck at the Musikverein on 20 October for Franz Schmidt’s oratorio Das Buch mit sieben Siegeln.
One of today’s pre-eminent basses, Milling steps out on the concert stage whenever his busy operatic career allows and joins the Berliner Philharmoniker and Sir Simon Rattle this season, as well as championing his fellow Dane Carl Nielsen as Jeronimo in Maskarade at Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw under Markus Stenz. The current season also brings Stephen Milling back to the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, in Tannhäuser, to Festspielhaus Baden-Baden in Tristan und Isolde, to Teatro Colón in Parsifal, to Opéra national du Rhin in Don Carlos and to the Vienna State Opera in Fidelio and Die Zauberflöte.
