Angela Hewitt opens the 2015 Trasimeno Music Festival

This week Angela Hewitt opens and performs at the 11th Trasimeno Music Festival in Umbria, Italy where she is Artistic Director.
The Festival runs from 4 – 10 July and opens with chamber music concerts in Panicale and Magione where Angela Hewitt is joined by violinist Jan Söderblom and cellist Nicolas Altstaedt in a programme of Brahms, Ravel, and Lili Boulanger.
As well as a number of solo recitals throughout the Festival, Hewitt performs Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.25 with Camerata Salzburg and Hannu Lintu, a concert of French chamber music, and Poulenc’s The Story of Babar, the Little Elephant and Stravinsky’s Soldier’s Tale with Lintu and soloists from the Mahler Chamber Orchestra.
The festival draws to a close with a concert featuring Angela Hewitt with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra conducted by Hannu Lintu, as well as soprano Deborah York and trumpeter Matthew Sadler, in a programme of Grieg, Mozart, CPE Bach, and JS Bach.
