Southbank Centre’s International Piano Series, in association with HarrisonParrott and a consortium of agencies, opens with a recital by Angela Hewitt on 6 October at the Royal Festival Hall, London. The programme includes works by Bach, Scarlatti, Beethoven and Liszt.

While Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall is being refurbished, several of the recitals move to St John’s Smith Square, a 300-year-old baroque church across the Thames. Other highlights of the season include Denis Kozhukhin (13 October), Jean-Efflam Bavouzet (26 January), Maurizio Pollini (23 February), Mitsuko Uchida (26 April), Paul Lewis (11 May) and Richard Goode (25 May).
