Christoph Poppen has been appointed Principal Guest Conductor of Hong Kong Sinfonietta. The three-year term starts immediately.

Poppen works with a number of leading orchestras in Asia including the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Singapore Symphony Orchestra and New Japan Philharmonic amongst others.

“Hong Kong Sinfonietta is certainly one of the most exciting orchestras in Asia. Its potential, ambition and the serious and yet relaxed approach is a very promising combination and I am sure that the world will hear a lot from HKS in the next years.”
