Christian Tetzlaff returns to the Southbank Centre’s International Chamber Music Series on 26 March to perform Bach’s Sonata No.2 and Partitas Nos.2 and 3 for solo violin, alongside Bartók’s Solo Sonata.
Tetzlaff replaces Midori, who is unable to perform her recital due to ill health. In recent years, he has performed all-Bach programmes at the 92nd Street Y in New York, Wiener Konzerthaus and Wigmore Hall.
Later this season Tetzlaff returns to London to perform a lunchtime concert of solo Bach at LSO St Luke’s on 21 May, which will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3, as well as Beethoven’s Violin Concerto with the London Symphony Orchestra and Daniel Harding at the Barbican on 24 May. Both concerts are part of the LSO International Violin Festival.
