Stephen Milling returns to Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Manon Lescaut

This week, Stephen Milling returns to Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia as Geronte in Stephen Medcalf’s production of Manon Lescaut.
Conducted by Plácido Domingo, the performances run from 9 to 27 December and continue Stephen’s long association with the house, which includes previous appearances in Berlioz’ Les Troyens (Valery Gergiev), Wagner’s Der Ring der Nibelungen and Verdi’s La forza del destino (both with Zubin Mehta), and Wagner’s Parsifal with the late Lorin Maazel.
Highly regarded as one of today’s finest Wagnerian interpreters, Milling nonetheless maintains a diverse operatic repertoire with the current season also including performances of both Rocco (Fidelio) at Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte) with Royal Danish Opera.
