This month Edo de Waart returns to The Metropolitan Opera conducting Richard Eyre’s new production of Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro.

With Erwin Schrott in the title role and alongside Mariusz Kwiecien and Danielle de Niese, the opening night is on 4 December and performances run through to 20 December.

de Waart last appeared at The Met when he conducted Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier which featured Susan Graham and Renee Fleming as soloists.
