Case Scaglione makes his debut with the Hong Kong Philharmonic

Following guest appearances with the Shanghai Symphony and China Philharmonic orchestras earlier this season, Case Scaglione returns to Asia to make his debut with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
On 6 & 7 June he conducts a programme including Ives’ Three Places in New England and Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story. The first half features Korngold’s Violin Concerto with soloist Yang Tianwa and the concert opens with John Adams’ The Chairman Dances.
Scaglione returns to the Hong Kong Philharmonic next season to conduct a programme of Mozart and Shostakovich. 2014/15 also sees him take up the post of Associate Conductor of the New York Philharmonic, when he will the orchestra in a number of subscription concerts during the season.
