American conductor Case Scaglione signs to HarrisonParrott

HarrisonParrott is delighted to welcome American conductor Case Scaglione to its roster for general management, effective immediately.
Scaglione began his tenure as Assistant Conductor of the New York Philharmonic in September 2011, and subsequently made his subscription debut with the orchestra in November 2012, stepping in for Kurt Masur. The 2014/15 season sees his promotion to Associate Conductor, a position revived especially for him by Music Director Alan Gilbert. In addition Scaglione will return to the orchestra’s subscription series in November for five performances with soloist Joshua Bell.
During the 2013/14 season, Scaglione makes debuts with the Hong Kong Philharmonic, Colorado Symphony, Orquesta Clásica Santa Cecilia and Orchestra of St. Luke’s in addition to return appearances with the Baltimore Symphony, Alabama Symphony, China Philharmonic and Shanghai Symphony orchestras. Elsewhere, he has appeared with The Cleveland Orchestra, Saint Louis Symphony, Houston Symphony and Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, and in September 2013, he assisted Sir Andrew Davis on Elektra at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
As Music Director of the Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra of Los Angeles from 2008 to 2011, Case Scaglione was the driving force behind the continued artistic growth and diversification of the organization in addition to founding 360° Music, an educational outreach programme which brought the orchestra to inner city schools. Case Scaglione was the recipient of the 2011 Conductor’s Prize by the Solti Foundation US. A student of David Zinman at the American Academy of Conducting at Aspen, he won the James Conlon Prize and, in 2010, the Aspen Conducting Prize.
