Francisco Negrin​’s new production of Handel’s Alcina opens at Den Norske Opera on 16 January. Performances run until 17 February.

The production marks the first time the opera has been presented by the Company, and is a collaboration with the Royal Danish Opera, where Negrin has created a number of successful productions of Handel’s operas, including Giulio Cesare and Partenope. His recent production of Rinaldo, for the Lyric Opera of Chicago, met with particular acclaim last season.
