Dani Howard​’s Percussion Concerto for Dame Evelyn Glennie premieres on 18 April with BBC National Orchestra of Wales, conducted by Sofi Jeannin. Inspired by the story of American inventor Thomas Edison, the soloist embodies Edison through five movements, each representing key moments of his life and career. 

The concert at Hoddinott Hall also features a performance of Francis Poulenc’s Stabat Mater with BBC National Chorus of Wales, alongside BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Audience Prize winner Julieth Lozano Rolong.
