Bertrand Chamayou embarks on a substantial recital tour across ten cities in the United States and in Canada with his long-time colleague and friend, soprano Barbara Hannigan. On the programme are Messiaen’s major and ecstatic song cycle Chants de Terre and de Ciel combined with John Zorn’s dazzling Jumalattaret alongside Scriabin’s Poème-Nocturne and Vers la Flamme for solo piano.

The tour starts at Montréal’s Salle Bourgie on 26 November before the duo heads to Koerner Hall Toronto (28 November), the Chan Center of the Performing Arts in Vancouver (30 November), the McPherson Playhouse Victoria (2 December), Baker-Baum Concert Hall in La Jolla (5 December), the Eastman School of Music Rochester (8 December), Perelman Theater Philadelphia (10 December), New York’s Park Avenue Amory (12 December), the National Arts Center Ottawa (14 December) and finally the Library of Congress in Washington (16 December).

In the context of this tour, Bertrand Chamayou will also give masterclasses in Montréal, Victoria, Rochester, and at The Juilliard School.
