Alena Baeva is Artist-In-Residence of Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra

Artist-in-Residence of Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra for the 2024/25 season, Alena Baeva performs Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in two concerts at Poole’s Lighthouse Centre for the Arts on 27 November, and at Exeter University’s Great Hall on 28 November, conducted by Principal Guest Conductor Chloé van Soeterstède.
Alena returns in January to perform Berg’ Violin Concerto in three concerts: at Poole’s Lighthouse Centre for the Arts on 22 January, Portsmouth’s Guildhall on 23 January, and at The Anvil in Basingstoke on 25 January, led by conductor Mark Wigglesworth.
Her residency concludes with a duo recital with Vadym Kholodenko at Poole’s Lighthouse Centre for the Arts on 30 April. The programme includes Schumann’s Märchenbilder, Brahms’ Violin Sonata No.2, Strauss’ Violin Sonata and Stravinsky’s Divertimento from The Fairy’s Kiss.
