Violinist Alena Baeva signs to HarrisonParrott

HarrisonParrott is delighted to welcome violinist Alena Baeva to its roster for worldwide general management.
Celebrated for her captivating performances, Alena Baeva is working with orchestras including New York Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, NHK Symphony Orchestra, Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Gürzenich-Orchester Köln and Göteborgs Symfoniker. She is regularly collaborating with leading conductors, including Gustavo Gimeno, Paavo Järvi, Marek Janowski, Vladimir Jurowski, Tomáš Netopil and Riccardo Minasi. She also has a long-standing relationship with the Orchestra of the XVIII Century performing on period instruments.
An elegant and versatile artist, Baeva’s vast repertoire of over fifty violin concerti spans Bach, Mozart and Beethoven, through to Barber, Shostakovich and Stravinsky. She is also a champion of lesser-known concerti, including Bacewicz, Karaev, Karłowicz, and Silvestrov.
Baeva is a passionate chamber musician, working with such esteemed artists as Yuri Bashmet, Daishin Kashimoto, Misha Maisky, Jean-Guihen Queyras and the Belcea Quartet. Her regular recital partner is Vadym Kholodenko, and their album Fantasy, featuring works by Schubert, Schumann, Stravinsky and Messiaen, was released on Alpha Classics earlier this year.
