Nicolas Altstaedt gives his debut performance of Thomas Adès’ Lieux Retrouvés for cello and small orchestra with The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen on 15 November at Gesamtschule Ost in Bremen, followed by a performance on 16 November at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris. Conducted by Adès, this collaboration brings together the soloist and composer-conductor in a deeply expressive programme.

The programme also includes Haydn’s Symphony No.64, Adès’ Shanty – Over the Sea, Janáček’s Concertino for Piano and Chamber Ensemble, and Jacques Ibert’s Divertissement.

Later in the season, Altstaedt reunites with Adès to perform Lieux Retrouvés once again with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin on 28 June 2025 at the Philharmonie Berlin.
