Nicolas Altstaedt performs the world premiere of Liza Lim’s A Sutured World for cello and orchestra with Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, conducted by Edward Gardner, on 25 October at the Herkulessaal (Munich). This piece was commissioned in 2023 by Musica Viva/​BR, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Cello Biënnale Amsterdam, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and Orquestra Sinfónica de Porto Casa da Música. The programme also includes Oliver Knussen’s Flourish with Fireworks and the German premiere of Cleveland Pictures for orchestra.

Following the concert on 25 October, Altstaedt continues performing A Sutured World with conductor Matthias Pintscher at the Cello Biënnale on 7 November at Muziekgebouw aan ​‘t IJ (Amsterdam), 8 November at Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and 9 November at November Music (‘s‑Hertogenbosch).
