20 October marks the 60th anniversary of the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation, dedicated to promoting young talent in music and composition. This year’s winner is Aurel Dawidiuk, who conducts the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen onstage at Hamburg’s Laeiszhalle performing works by Glinka, Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky and Mendelssohn, with former Ritter scholarship holders Anna Vinnitskaya and Alexey Stadler as soloists.
Attendance is free of charge, though advance registration on the venue’s website is required by all attendees.
