Violinist Sayaka Shoji joins San Francisco Symphony to perform Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No.1 under the baton of Esa-Pekka Salonen. The concerts take place at Davies Symphony Hall, with three performances on 4, 5, and 6 October.

Following the performances in San Francisco, later this month Shoji tours Japan with hr-Sinfonieorchester, performing Brahms’ Violin Concerto with their musical director Alain Altinoglu as conductor. The performances are held on 20 October at Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall in Kanagawa and on 21 October at Suntory Hall in Tokyo.
