Tabita Berglund steps in at short notice to conduct the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada at Festival Internacional de Música y Danza de Granada this week. The open-air performance, on 20 June, takes place in the Palacio d Carlos V within the famous Alhambra, and comprises Sibelius’ Finlandia, Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.2 with soloist Juan Floristán and Sibelius’ Symphony No.5. Berglund joins an illustrious line-up of artists and orchestras taking part in the festival, including fellow HP conductor Klaus Mäkelä with Orchestre de Paris.
