Alban Gerhardt is one of the Aldeburgh festival’s featured musicians this year, with several concerts throughout the festival. Works performed include Elgar’s Cello Concerto with London Philharmonic Orchestra, two works by Thomas Larcher alongside Claire Booth (soprano) Jospeh Havlat (piano) and Charlotte Sulste-Bridoux (violin), Britten’s Cello Sonata with Steven Osborne, Suites by Bach and Britten, finishing off with Unsuk Chin’s Cello Concerto with BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.

Alban Gerhardt opens the Grant Park Festival, playing Dvořák’s Cello Concerto on 12 June at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Chicago. Alban plays with Grant Park Orchestra, conducted by Carlos Kalmar.
