Tabita Berglund debuts with Philharmonia Orchestra
24/5/2024
Tabita Berglund makes her long-awaited opera debut with a revival production of Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro at Garsington Opera in Wormsley on 30 May, working closely with London-based director Bruno Ravella. Acclaimed performers Rafael Fingerlos and Samantha Clarke are the Count and Countess, respectively. David Ireland and Claire Lees portray the roles of Figaro and Susanna, respectively. The production includes twelve performances, running from the premiere on 30 May to the final on 23 July.
While in the UK, Tabita also makes her debut with Philharmonia Orchestra on 28 May at The Anvil in Basingstoke. The programme opens with Mozart’s joyful Overture to Le nozze di Figaro, followed by Sibelius’ much-loved Symphony No.2 in the second half. The concert’s centrepiece is Elgar’s eloquent and profoundly moving Cello Concerto, performed by acclaimed cellist and fellow HarrisonParrott artist Nicolas Altstaedt.
