Tabita Berglund Makes Debuts in Lyon, Scotland and Bern
2/2/2024
Tabita Berglund debuts with Orchestre National de Lyon in three concerts on 9, 10, and 11 February. The programme includes Lili Boulanger’s D’un Matin de Printemps, selections from Grieg’s Peer Gynt, and Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.2 where Argentinian pianist Ingrid Fliter joins the orchestra.
Later in the month, Berglund returns to Scotland for her BBC Scottish Symphony debut at Glasgow City Halls on 22 February and Perth Concert Hall on 23 February. In both concerts, Berglund leads the orchestra in a programme including Tveitt’s Velkomne med Æra, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.5, and Dvořák’s Cello Concerto where Berglund is joined by fellow Norwegian and HP soloist Truls Mørk.
Next, Berglund conducts the Bern Symphony Orchestra for the first time on 14 and 15 March, reprising Lili Boulanger’s D’un Matin de Printemps and leading the orchestra in Debussy’s La mer and Ravel’s Daphnis and Chloe Suite No.2. The all-French programme also includes Ravels’ Piano Concerto with HP soloist Jean-Yves Thibaudet.
