Masaaki Suzuki debuts with Philharmonia for a Spanish Tour and a concert in London. The cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras joins them for the first part of the concerts.

The performances take place in Barcelona at Palau de la música Catalana on 22 April, in Madrid at Auditorio Nacional de Música on 23 April, in Oviedo at the Auditorio Principe Felipe on 24 April, in Valencia at the Palau de la Música i Congresos on 26 April and in Alicante at the Auditorio de la Diputación de Alicante on 27 April. The concert closing the tour is held at the Royal Festival Hall in London on 28 April.

The programme throughout this tour opens with Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, followed by Schumann’s Cello Concerto. The second half of the programme features Dvořák’s Symphony No.6.
