We are delighted that composer, conductor and pedagogue Péter Eötvös is awarded the 2024 Kossuth Grand Prize in recognition of his exceptional contribution and services to music. The award is presented by the President of Hungary, Tamás Sulyok.
The Kossuth Prize, named after the Hungarian politician and revolutionist Lajos Kossuth, was established in 1936 by the Hungarian National Assembly to acknowledge outstanding personal and group achievements in the fields of science, culture and the arts. It is widely regarded today as the most prestigious cultural award in Hungary.
