Daniel Okulitch sings the role of Chancellor Axel Oxenstierna in the world premiere of Quebec playwright Michel Marc Bouchard’s La Reine-Garçon at Opéra de Montréal, following the success of Bouchard’s libretto for Les feluettes (2016) and La Beauté du monde (2022). Bouchard is joined by composer Julien Bilodeau in a production staged by Angela Konrad and led by Jean-Marie Zeitouni. La Reine-Garçon opens on 3 February, with further performances until 11 February at Place des Arts’ Wilfrid-Pelletier Hall in Montréal.
