NOMINATIONS ARE IN FOR 2024 BBC MUSIC MAGAZINE AWARDS

BBC Music Magazine announced the nominations for their 2024 Awards today

Alexandra Lowe is nominated for the Newcomer Award for her album Le Voyage on Champs Hill Records alongside pianist Patrick Milne, with songs by Bizet, Debussy, Koechlin, Ravel and Viardot.

Birdsong’s Freya Waley-Cohen is also nominated in the Newcomer Award for her work included in George Xiaoyuan Fu’s recording of Mirrors on Platoon Music, alongside works by Ravel, Rachmaninov, Timo Andres and Unsuk Chin.

Sean Shibe is nominated in the Instrumental Award category for his latest album on Pentatone, Profesión, featuring recordings of works by South American composers such as Agustin Barrios Mangoré, Ginastera, and Villa-Lobos.

Christian Tetzlaff is nominated with Tanja Tetzlaff and Lars Vogt for the Chamber Award with the album Schubert on Ondine, featuring Piano Trios, Notturno, Rondo and Arpeggiona Sonata.
