In an unexpected change to the upcoming concerts at Elbphilharmonie on 14 and 15 December, Aivis Greters takes the baton in lieu of Herbert Blomstedt with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra. The programme features Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.4 with renowned pianist Francesco Piemontesi as the soloist. The decision to extend the invitation to Aivis Greters stems from the glowing feedback received after his debut performances with Swedish Radio and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic earlier this year for his exceptional talent.

Francesco Piemontesi, returning to collaborate with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, eagerly joins forces with Aivis Greters for these performances of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.4. This follows his recent rendition of this work, deeply cherished by him, under the baton of Maestro Herbert Blomstedt alongside the Danish National Symphony Orchestra last month.
