Tenor Zwakele Tshabalala joins the soloist lineup for the European premiere of Gospel Messiah, Handel’s oratorio re-imagined, with its recognisable arias, choruses and orchestration infused with jazz, gospel, R&B, soul and pop. An original concept by Marin Alsop and musical arrangements by Bob Christianson and Gary Anderson, performances occur on 7 December with BBC Chamber Orchestra at Royal Albert Hall in London and on 16 December with Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in their Concert Hall in Katowice.
