Matilda Lloyd performs Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No.1 with Federico Colli and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Sir Mark Elder on 7 December at Glasgow City Halls. The concerto will then be recorded on 10 December, in a continuation of a short recording period after already having recorded Weinberg’s and Schoenberger’s Trumpet Concertos with London Symphony Orchestra and Lee Reynolds in London last month. Both recordings will be released under Chandos Records in autumn 2024.

Matilda also performs Shostakovich at her Italian debut on 16 March with Lucas Debargue and Teatro di San Carlo under Marco Armiliato.
