Francesco Piemontesi returns to Danish National Symphony Orchestra this week for two performances of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.4 on 16 and 18 November under the baton of Maestro Herbert Blomstedt, one of his most esteemed musical colleagues. Further ahead, Piemontesi and Blomsted will join forces once again to perform this concerto together with NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra.

Last week, Piemontesi was the featured soloist for three performances of Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.4 and Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini as part of The Rachmaninoff Cycle — an extensive collaboration between Opernhaus Zürich and the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich.
