Christoph Poppen conducts Munich Chamber Orchestra
27/10/2023
75 years ago in 1948, Günter Henle founded his music publishing house at Prinzregentenplatz in Munich. From humble beginnings, one of the world’s leading classical music publishers grew over the decades.
To mark this anniversary, G. Henle Verlag invites Christoph Poppen to lead Munich Chamber Orchestra to a gala concert at Munich’s Prinzregententheater on 3 November, performing with renowned classical music stars.
The programme features Bruch’s Romance for Viola and Orchestra, Schumann’s Concerto for Piano and Beethoven’s Concerto for Violin, Cello and Piano. The soloists are Grigory Sokolov, Frank Peter Zimmerman, Martin Helmchen, Nils Mönkemeyer, Claire Huangci, Tianwa Yang, William Youn and Julian Steckel.
All artists perform for no fee and all ticket income will go to the Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft im BDI e. V. and the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben.
