16-year-old British violinist Leia Zhu debuts with Philharmonia Orchestra for opening concerts in Leicester and Canterbury seasons. She performs Vaughan Williams’ violin concerto The Lark Ascending with Chloé van Soeterstède at the podium. The concerts take place on 5 October at the De Montfort Hall (Leicester) and on 6 October Marlowe Theatre (Canterbury).

This same month of October, Leia visits Royal Northern Sinfonia for a couple of concerts performing Mendelssohn’s Violin concerto on 9 October and culminates with a recital in St George’s Bristol on 13 October and in Bülach (Switzerland).
