Lawrence Renes returns to Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra for a tour of five performances. Having commenced the tour with a performance of Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet at Suntory Hall, he conducts the Japan premiere of Sally Beamish’s Viola Concerto No. 2 performed by German violist Tabea Zimmerman as well as Rachmaninov’s Symphony No.2 on 23 September at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre. He then goes on to conduct three performances of Brahms’ Concerto for Violin with Japanese violinist Moné Hattori; first on 26 September at the Chofu City Green Hall, continuing to the Toyota City Concert Hall on 27 September, finishing the tour on 28 September in Harmony Hall Fukui.
