Canadian bass-baritone Gordon Bintner sings Ruggiero in Halévy’s La Juive, conducted by Daniel Oren at Teatro Regio di Torino from 21 September to 3 October. In a new production by Stefano Poda, this seldom performed work by Fromental Halévy marks Bintner’s first performances in Italy following on from other recent debuts at Opéra National de Paris, Royal Opera House Covent Garden and San Francisco Opera among others.

After several seasons as an ensemble member at Oper Frankfurt, Bintner now enjoys a growing reputation as one of the finest interpreters of his generation of key roles such as Don Giovanni, Guglielmo, Conte Almaviva and Figaro.
