Gordon Bintner returns to Covent Garden to give his first performances in the role of Albert, alongside Jonas Kaufmann as Werther and Aigul Akhmetshina as Charlotte in Massenet’s tragic opera. Antonio Pappano conducts the performances on 20 – 28 June and 1 – 4 July.

Highlights of Bintner this season include his role debut at San Francisco Opera as Eugene Onegin in Robert Carsen’s acclaimed production; his return to Canadian Opera Company as Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro under Harry Bicket; and his role as Figaro at Opéra de Lyon under Alexandre Bloch.
