On 8 September, Nicolas Altstaedt makes his debut with Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra at their opening season concert. He performs Witold Lutosławski’s Cello Concerto under the baton of Edward Gardner. The programme also features Julian Anderson’s Eden as well as Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No.1.

Later this month he comes back to Canada to join National Arts Center Orchestra Ottawa and Alexander Shelley for two concerts on 14 and 21 September. The programme includes Schumann’s Cello Concerto and Brahms’ Double Concerto for Violin and Cello with Canadian violinist James Ehnes.
