Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra travel to Eastern China

Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Music Director Jaap van Zweden, travel to Eastern China to celebrate the orchestra’s 50th anniversary in an all-Mendelssohn programme.
Performing in two concerts with violin soloist Tianwa Yang, the programme includes Overture ‘The Hebrides’, Violin Concerto and Symphony No.4. Beginning upstream on the Yangtze River in Nanjing, the orchestra perform their first concert on 1 September at Jiangsu Centre for the Performing Arts, then travel downstream to Shanghai, where the second concert takes place on 2 September at the Oriental Arts Centre.
