Eldbjørg Hemsing is on tour in the United States this month. She performs six recitals in New York together with pianist Albert Cano Smit as part of The Angel’s Share series, described by The Vogue Magazine as ​“one of the most riveting and unusual chamber music performances”. The recitals take place in the Catacombs of Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn from 5 – 7 July, featuring Grieg’s Sonata for Violin and Piano No.2 and Sommerfeldt’s Sonata Saxifraga.

Later this month, she appears at the iconic Newport Music Festival together with pianist Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner to perform a programme featuring works of her latest Album Arctic on 14 July, which explores both the beauty and the fragility of the Arctic Circle. Prior to this recital, the Festival screens the film Forte on 13 July, a fast-paced ensemble cast documentary featuring Tatiana Berman, Lucía Caruso and Eldbjørg Hemsing, exploring the notion of success and excellence from the female perspective.
