Prior to the release on 28 April, Matilda Lloyd plays her debut Chandos Records album Casta Diva with Oulu Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Rumon Gamba on 20 April. The next day on 21 April, she performs the same programme with Britten Sinfonia Soloists at the Southend on Sea City Council Concert Series.

To end the month on a high note, she makes her debut at the Wigmore Hall on 27 April for the official Casta Diva album launch with Britten Sinfonia Soloists. The album features brand new arrangements for trumpet and chamber orchestra of 19^th century Italian opera arias by Donizetti, Viardot, Bellini and Rossini, celebrating the lyrical trumpet akin to the human voice. It was recorded last summer with Britten Sinfonia and Rumon Gamba.
