Camilla also brings her new recital programme Jenny Lind: Love and Lieder to Spivey Hall, Atlanta alongside pianist Jonathan Ware following their performance together at Schloss Elmau last month, ahead of further North American recital tour dates in the 2023/24 season. This intimate recital programme inspired by the‘Swedish Nightingale’ and star soprano of her day, Jenny Lind, features music by Mendelssohn, Chopin and Schumann and takes us on a touching and witty journey through the final 30 years of Jenny’s career during which her focus shifted from the world of opera, to the art of song and German Lieder.
Later this season Camilla joins Gianandrea Noseda and Washington’s National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Centre for Beethoven’s Symphony No.9, and performs in the closing concert of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra’s May Festival in Mahler’s Symphony No.8 under Juanjo Mena.
