Emma Bell sings the role of Venus opposite Jonas Kaufmann in the rarely performed Viennese version of Tannhäuser to mark her debut at the Salzburg Easter Festival. Opening at the Grosses Festspielhaus on 1 April, performances are with Gewandhausorchester under the baton of Andris Nelsons and continue on 5 and 9 April. 

Next up for Emma is the world premiere of London Philharmonic Orchestra Composer-in-Residence Brett Dean’s In spe contra spem at the Royal Festival Hall on 26 April.
