Cellist Alban Gerhardt joins Gulbenkian Orchestra to perform Unsuk Chin’s timbrally spectacular Cello Concerto, written for him 15 years ago for the BBC Proms. Audiences can see the performance at Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s Grand Auditorium on 16–17 March.

Following this, Alban will travel straight to Paris for chamber and orchestral concerts with Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, performing Brahms’ String Sextet and Richard Strauss’ Don Quixote at Maison de la Radio et de la Musique on 19 March and 23 March respectively.
