Guitarist Sean Shibe embarks on a tour across the US performing in both solo recitals and alongside Quatuor Van Kujik. The series of performances begin with Shibe’s New York City debut at 92NY on 8 February performing works by Narvaez, Adés, de Falla, Poulenc, Barrios Mangoré, Villas-Lobos, and Ginastera. 

He then joins the French string quartet Quatuor Van Kuijk to perform at the Herbst Theatre in San Francisco (10 February), St Francis Episcopal Church in San Jose (11 February), and Conrad Prebys Music Centre in San Diego (17 February), featuring a programme of guitar quintets by Boccherini and Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in F minor, and solo guitar works by Adés, de Falla, and Poulenc. He finishes the tour at Princeton Institute for Advanced Study on 21 February with an hour-long solo recital.

The recital at 92NY will be live-streamed and available to view online for 72 hours.
